Safety is Our #1 Goal: Riding safely is priority #1 when riding with Port City 162. Rules of the road, hand signals, and general safety will be reviewed before each of our rides. Our Road Captains and Tailgunners have to go through an extensive training program to assure that they will conduct the safest ride possible. Please review these links to familiarize yourself with our group riding guidelines and expectations:
- Appropriate riding attire is required. Boots and Pants please! Sandals of any kind are not permitted. It is at the discretion of the Officers of the Club to not permit you to ride with the group if you are not appropriately dressed.

Weekly Ride Info: Sat. and Sun. Rides will be posted on our Port City Chapter SCRC Delphi Forum and our Port City 162 FaceBook Page several days before the ride- ideally by Wednesday, but definitely by Friday at the latest. This will give you details on the destination and distance of the ride.
Our Delphi Forum is where we communicate with each other on a daily/weekly basis. Link to our Delphi Forum to stay current on SCRC Port City 162 happenings HERE:

Most of our rides average 125-175 miles in warmer weather, and 100-150 in cooler temperatures. We do have longer rides from time-to-time. We provide comfort stops along the route and our destination is Food! We also ride with other chapters of SCRC and sometimes other clubs.

How does the club support itself? There are sales of club patches, belt buckles, watches, and other items available through an independent online store. As a member, you are not required to buy a patch or anything else. How you support the club is up to you and how you feel about your club. The club itself is a not for profit type club and all positions are voluntary. The club supports itself through the work and participation of it's membership. http://www.southerncruiser.net/
Community Outreach and Charity: As an organization, SCRC tries to be involved in as many charity fundraisers as possible. Some of the funds supported nationally are: St. Judes Hospital, Missing Children Foundation, and The Foundation for Children's Brain Tumor Research. We are always happy to participate in Toy Runs, or any other local events where we may be of help.
