It was a great day to ride with some great cruisers. Left the Roo @ 10:00 with 10 bikes and 13 cruisers. Had Mountainside Mike, back for his first ride, since the Jack Daniels trip and he did an excellent job as Tail Gunner. Thanks Mike!! We first headed north on Rt 117, then turned onto some back roads, through Whitestocking and Maple Hill, to Bucks Corner in Chinquapin for a comfort stop. Then it was on to Pizza Village in Mount Olive, on some more new back roads. We arrived there at 12:14 and after enjoying the pizza buffet and some socializing, we were back on the road around 1:30.
Took some more new back roads, through Beaulaville, back to the Chinquapin comfort stop. Then we headed off towards Wallace, then through Burgaw, taking a side trip down Little Kelly Road. Total was an even 200 miles. It was a bit warm, but had a quick rain shower to cool us off for a few minutes. When I got home, I was very thirsty and had to drink quite a bit of water to get hydrated. With the hot weather now, we've got to remember to drink extra water to keep hydrated out there. Thanks for another great riding day, guys and girls.... Til we do it again.... What a great day to ride rolled out at 10am with 8 bikes 8 cruisers headed south. Got on college to mlk to 17 to Hickman road stopped at normal comfort stop at the end of Hickman. Got to Lumberton and the rain stopped. Nice smooth ride to mocksville n.c to stage brush for lunch no one likes there lunch oh well can't win them all. Oh yeah Bob and Road queen did not trust there second officer and past the turn thought I was going into a dead end lol we were all seated when they got back. After lunch I hit every back road I could find only 10 miles of interstate the entire trip. I found one road most of the group would like to for get we call roads like this Toby road well it was straight down and all gravel yikes this group handled it like pros a few had choice words for me at next stop. Last stretch come out of the tunnel with pipes blasting felt sorry for everyone behind queen and myself as we have load pipes oops missed the exit to Bluefield survey says extra 10 miles for us. 5 miles from hotel my tomtom goes nutty not this year we rode in circles last year but my main man Bob gave me the turns we rolled on in. I think bam bam was the most excited. Ok I would like to say also this group did awesome first 130 miles we went old school no radio's or GPS great job tailguning Tj just knowing where the group needed to be and Bob for your assistance threw out the trip that's why it's called group riding. Shivers likes to call traffic on the ramp when we are in the hammer lane somebody give him a clue and he will keep his name no coat no gloves he was shivering. Bob good job on calling counties (lol) . We wrapped it up in Tj and Pam's room with a night cap so much fun. 437 smiles so far.

I for got how quick you get into I let Phill into number 2 and away we go .Taylor is one of the best riders I've ever seen we all know who the other one is you've got his patch on your vest. Let me say Phill did 162 proud he hung with Taylor and had never been on the Dragon well done Phill. We hit the store no patches or shirts oh well back to the hotel get ready for Texas roadhouse in Princeton 11 miles away. Oh almost for got Bill Presley the scrc national officer was there with mongo national membership director. Meet them both my iron butt patch caught his eye he did the 14,000 in 14 days wow. Man I could write a book but for now that's all folks. WV State Rally - Day 4 (6/11/17): Well if you come around then you know return is not good for me I'm not happy when the fun is over. But we do have around 360 to go so let's have fun rolled out of wv at 745am suppose to be 730am but someone got lost looking for cigarettes. We rolled down 460 to77 to 74 to 52 then in Winston Salem jumping on 40 nice ride back. my cast of characters was Shivers changing that to snorvers Pam Tj queen and the one and only gun slinging Pistol Pete he loves to shoot road kill and the leader of this group of characters professor. We had a quick lunch in Fuquay varina at Wendy's kitchen had issues no fried food oh well we all left then took picture's and had last stop at rest area in Wallace man time flies when your having fun. Great trip most ride around 1100 miles give or take it was all about the kids of st jude for me and all the new cruisers I met chairle thanks for pushing this trip again one of the best rallys you could ever attend. The Professor 2nd Officer WV State Rally - Additional Report: Following up on Travis’ report, the second group left Leland at 10am with 3 bikes, 5 cruisers. Hard to report on total mileage because there were different rides to participate in on Friday and Saturday so mileage varies. We too left in the rain, but after about an hour out, it was sunny skies. Until we got into WV and finished a few miles in the rain. All good! Here’s a report on the activities: Cole Harley Davidson graciously held a welcome reception Friday night for SCRC with FREE transportation to and from the hotel! Band, food, beer! Life is good! On Friday and Saturday, one ride option was the "Back of the Dragon". The back of the dragon has some great twisties, and beautiful views. Ride was 142 miles long with 2 stops. The first stop was 74 miles in. The second one 30 or so miles right after the BOD. Back of the dragon items were available at the second stop. Ride time was 3-4 hours with stop. The second ride option on Friday was "Pipestem". Rode Rt-460 from hotel to Rt-20 going to Pipestem, WV and enjoyed some of West Virginia's beautiful country side. Pipestem has a lot to offer visitors. After a short visit at Pipestem we continued on Rt-20 toward Hinton, WV then took Rt-3 and Rt-19 back to the hotel. Around 3 1/2 to 4 hours and 120 miles. The second ride option on Saturday was a ride to "Mountain Lake". Rode Rt-598 to Rocky Gap, Va. then had a stop in Narrows, Va. from there we took Rt-460 East to Pembrook, Va. and Rt-613 on to Mountain Lake (Dirty Dancing movie was filmed here) from Mountain Lake we rode Rt-460 back to the hotel. Around 3 1/2 to 4 hours 100 miles. Friday night was party night at the hotel with music by the band Blue Reign. I think we had a good time. Hard to say as few of us can remember anything! LOL…Saturday night there was the DJ M&K. Weather was great! Rides were great! Friendships were the greatest! First, I want to thank all who came out, and made this ride memorable for me. I hope you all enjoyed it....
Ok, with 12 bikes and 17 riders, with Cakeman as my Tail Gunner, we headed out of the Roo at 11:05, headed for the Dead End Saloon and Grille in Southport. Oops, in my excitement to get underway, I left the parking lot, before Cakeman had blocked the traffic properly, but luckily the only approaching vehicle, was nice enough to allow the other bikes to come out and line up behind me in the traffic lane, whew!! We turned off River Rd SE/133 onto Daws Creek Rd to ride through Boiling Spring Lakes. Arrived at the Dead End Saloon at 11:59. Shivers and his mother were there, waiting for us for lunch and to celebrate his birthday. During which time, his mother told us a hilarious story, that Shivers was born bass ackwards, with cauliflower ears and egg shaped head, being the ugliest baby she had seen. But within 3 days, as per her doctor's statement, all of his ugliness had disappeared and was now the cutest baby she had seen. Now we know "the rest of the story" and understand what had happened, LOL.... After a fun lunch, before departing, 5 riders deserted the group, to head back to Wilmington. No ill feelings were felt towards them, LOL... Again, thank you for being with me to Southport. Now, with 7 bikes and 12 riders, we headed off to Lake Waccamaw State Park, at the SE side of the lake, under beautiful sunny skies, which also stayed with us for the whole trip. When we arrived at the state park, we learned the 5 deserters had gotten caught in some heavy rain, on the way back at the Gator Hole on 133, ooops!!! We all got a little education at the state park and then left there and headed towards Elizabethtown and White Lake area, via Waccamaw Shores Road, around the lake. A lot of gators were seen, in the water way, on the opposite side of the lake. Before leaving the state park, a few more riders reported they were going to desert the group, to head back home. When we all got to the NW side of the lake, it was 3:30, so we decided to head back to Wilmington, with some of us going to the Harp celebrate the end of a wonderful day and great ride. Again, thanks to all of you great people, that rode today, which I will remember for a long time. What a great turn out 15 bikes 20 cruisers rolled out of the Roo headed north up 17. Picked up Tracy at the 1per center gas station. Good ride till we left comfort stop in Mayesville road construction 30 min delay. I found some back roads and we rolled in to Deadwood at 12:40 how do I know Eileen made sure I new that (lol).
Great food service awesome awesome think everyone would do a return and play putt putt we did ride the train. Pictures to prove it then bam bam (Pam) wanted to go to hometown Harley-Davidson in Winterville I told her ask the group I was always ready to ride more who could say no to Pam. To hometown we rode a few things bought a few bikes gazed at ok folks we saddled up headed for Beulaville to drop Tracy off smooth much faster way down 55 11 to 43 said our good byes at the comfort stop and a few more pics. Jumped on 40 headed to the house. Ok the thank You tour Paul Allen thanks for the heads up on Deadwood.. Good job as always road queen on the tail up there and Tj on the way back and Bob for radio in the middle and curb for stepping up on the tail when we got separated in Greenville and Godfather thanks for just being you I laughed all day man did time go to fast let's see if Spikes reading 311 big smiles today and so much fun.
