Soggy bottom ring a bell? Still a great day for a ride. 7 bikes 9 cruisers on a Sunday headed to sunset harbor to see the one and only SHIVERS. Nice back roads, Brown was my favorite. Nice clean ride and then a turn on the dirt road to SHIVERS and it happened. The Queen fell off her chariot I've never seen people move so fast to help. She was fine, she jumped up got back on the bike. The crown was fine too Pam's reaction was priceless.
We chatted with SHIVERS, saw the boss man, you should have rode to find out who boss man was. Leaving the driveway was SHIVERS leading, say what yes his return ride he tried to up the Queen but made a last minute save and off we went to Oak Island. About a 20min ride from SHIVERS house we got dumped on all the way. Arrived to Oak Island restaurant. The food was awesome and Dave the owner was there who will be 86 SEPTEMBER 25 so it was a big time for me. I've known him since I was around 20 he is a great man. he built most of the houses on the island and a former Truck driver as well. A little chilly eating from being wet but fun none the less we saddled up and headed home . Loved the FaceTime till next time cruisers hope it's sooner than later PICs: portcity162scrc.weebly.com/july---sept-2018.html THE PROFESSOR 1ST OFFICER PORT CITY 162 What a great day to ride 10 bikes 13 cruisers, well 3 soon to be cruisers. There is no place I would have rather been than leading today's ride. 15 bikes 17 SOUTHERN CRUISERS and most wore their PORT CITY 162 shirts! Love those shirts! Also, Scott Thomas likes what he see's... he bought his wings today! I always keep one on hand (I learned that from Shorty). He also has expressed interest in being a Road Captain. Good deal! Today's ride was Awesome! I've been saving some new back roads for today they were fun it turned 70 miles into 110. We had a comfort stop at the Lake Waccamaw Mini Mart. Then more back roads to Loris to SHORTY'S Grill. They seated us right away. The food took a while, but I did not care. The FACE TIME is what it's about. Just to ride and have fun. After lunch some went next door for ice cream. Time to saddle up and take it to the house. We took a direct route home 9 to Hickman to 17. Some broke off on 1-40, others followed me to the Harp to Remember a Legend, a mentor, a teacher, father, Husband, best friend, and so much more- RONNIE"SHORTY"BOSWELL. You are missed and never forgotten . Thank you to Preacher for the tailgun and Curb for radio in the middle 196 miles of fun today . Almost a year as First Officer. I love this club and the SCRC Family. Speaking of family...Mack Tart over in 5 Points - Thanks for all the help and advice. I think we are onto something. Sp!ke, I always remember to be Humble and Kind. IF YOU road today I would like a hello and tell me how you liked the ride. This is our chapter and it takes us all to KEEP it a "Premier Riding Club." We are on our way . JOHNSON CO WE ARE COMING FOR ROAD DOG. Travis Spainhour THE PROFESSOR 1ST OFFICER PORT CITY 162 |
