We headed north on HWY 421 and stopped at the Rest Area in Clinton. We took a very fast comfort stop as Toby was revving her motor to give us the 2 minute Warning (more like 30 seconds). We pulled into the parking lot for Grandsons in Dunn at 11:30 am. It sounds crazy but Port City was actually early. We had an awesome turnout with 75 cruisers from all over the state. It ended up as a great meeting with great friends.
The ride home was smooth until 18 miles out side of Wilmington and bang! Everyone knew it was my bike that blew out. Curb to the rescue as he went all the way home for his truck and then back with the Eagle Rescue Trailer. Thank you Paul & Toby! No One wanted to leave me alone. Thanks to TJ for staying with me on the side of the road. Thanks to Road Queen for coming all the way back to take TJ home.
I'm in the harbor now with Shivers picking up my loaner bike so we won't miss a beat. It is a nice feeling knowing my fellow Cruisers are ready to help when we need it.
till next time cruisers, I'll try not to blow it up .
