stories from the road...
It was a beautiful day to ride with only a slight chill in the air. We left the Roo with 12 Bikes and 13 Riders. We proceeded up & Thru Hampstead following HWY 210 into Topsail Beach. A quick turn off on 172 to Hwy 17 and we found ourselves following HWY 50 . The group decided on a quick comfort stop in Maple Hill @ the corner of Hwy 50 & Haws Run Rd. The next stop would be our Destination but along the way one of Bikes went down. In normal Cruiser Fashion, everyone pitched in to check on the Rider, divert traffic, and get the Bike up and moved to a safer location. Thank God that the Rider only suffered some bumps and bruises. John Cain volunteered to stay with the Rider as he waited on a Flatbed to transport his bike home. Two other riders decided they were ready to head home but the remaining group moved on to HWY 55 in Wallace for good food with good friends. We still had a few more roads to ride but as it was late in the day and the group wanted to head home so back on Hwy 117 to Wilmington. We ended the ride with 142 miles worth of Memories. Thanks for everyone who rode today.
