The Professor and the Road Queen joined us there so we were up to 9 bikes. We proceeded up 17 to Holly ridge and then on NC 50 to Chinquapin for our rest stop. Next stop was Rose Hill Restaurant, where we got a variety of foods. The crab cake sandwiches got middling marks, but the BBQ and sirloin tips got high marks. Several of us got homemade dessert - 16 layer chocolate cake, german chocolate cake and homemade strawberry shortcake. All were excellent!
We stopped to check out the worlds largest frying pan (365 chickens at once!) and a final stop at Willard to say our goodbyes and allow the road captain to visit the facilities (2 glasses of iced tea!)
Thanks to Cakeman for tailgunning and everyone for coming out! 124 miles for the day.
