After the pre-ride, we rolled out of the Circle K towards Leland. Standard stuff via MLK, Isabella Holmes, 74/76 to River Road 133 where Professor split off to go do some A.S.O. duties with the South Central and South Coast chapters.
From there we hit the back roads and ended up at our rest stop in Supply on 211. After chitty chat, a diet coke, and a zip tie lesson, we jumped back on the scoots and headed out Stone Chimney towards Shallotte. Nice cruise into Shallotte and continued on 179 toward Calabash. We smoothly sailed past the ice cream shop and the Chri$tma$ $tore and headed down the hill to get onto 17. As expected, traffic started to thicken up coming into Little River and then........ STOP. Wow... little friggin' toyota MR2 died or wrecked or exploded and we were clutchin' it every 2 feet for a half mile. It was like everyone that passed the wrecker and cop in the right lane stopped and took a friggin' picture?!?!?!?! But anyway....
The Cru got down to Ryan's without any further issues and were ready for lunch. Ryan's was Grrreat, but DON'T take pictures of the dessert bar!!!!! Food was very good, service was good, desserts were good and we enjoyed joking around and bs'n about a variety of subjects. When it was time for dessert, Road Queen went up to the dessert bar and decided to take a picture of the big spread that they had and was told by the Pastry Chef that pictures were not allowed? Sooooo, our curiosity got the best of us and we asked the waitress what the deal was. The manager came over and talked to us and said that we needed to arrange a media visit or some crap. We were all cordial about it and he was very nice and whatever, but.... WHAT?!!?!??! I mean, we have been to a LOT of places to eat and this was a new one. Bottom line: Deb got a picture. Enjoy it!!! haha!!!
We did a little pow wow in the parking lot and no one was interested in stopping at the beach Harley Shop or Scott Britt's place, so we saddled up and pointed it north. We jammed up 17 to Shallotte and Currb, Road Queen and I pulled off in to the Harley Shop while Linnea, Mickey and Pat decided to keep going to Wilmington. See ya friends! We checked out some bikes, $70 women's hoodies, and Road Queen picked out her new Road Glide....NOT!
Tres Hombres jammed back to Wilmington in no time and said our goodbyes with a fist bump at the light by Greenfield Lake. Currb headed home and Deb and I went over to her house to take our new Bluetooth headsets off our helmets to return to Amazon. Back to the CB's until further notice....
151 clicks today. Thanks for Tailgunning Deb, even though we couldn't hear each other all the time.
