The weatherman said we had until 1pm before we would get wet, so we got out and got back in!
A 6-pak of Cruisers left the Circle K @10 on the dot, heading out MLK and crossing the Isabel Holmes bridge for Leland. We got off on Village Rd and cruised through Navassa on our way to Mt. Misery Rd. We rock n' rolled down Mt. Misery into Reigelwood. We turned on 87 and picked up 74/76 for a bit before picking up 87 again over to 17. Then a final left onto 87 took us all the way into Southport.
We pulled off into the Circle K by Southport Smokehouse with 63 miles on the clock, searching the skies for signs of a heavy down pour and checking the weather radar on our cell phones. It was drizzling a tiny, tiny bit. Radar looked good for a bit, so we decided to hit the Smokehouse for some lunch.
Food was excellent! Absolutely delicious ribs, brisket, wings, spicy fries and Mac n' cheez. Quick, cheap and good!!
Back on the bikes, we headed straight back to Leland via 133. We stopped in Leland so we could say our goodbyes and get a huuug from Road Queen.
Only managed 90 on the odometer today due to weather. Charles: Thanks for the tailgun. Your 10 mile refund check is in the mail!! Haha!
Til the next Ride...
