stories from the road...
We had myself and 6 of my boys - Charles, Travis, Preacher, Pistol Pete, Paul (Yes Sir), and the Godfather Pat. We left promptly at 10 and headed towards Shallotte and I actually knew the way. Almost missed the turn for Cherry Bomb but my little Boy saved me. Traversed down Cherry Bomb (a little too slow for Travis but he enjoyed the scenery) and came out on 17. Did a comfort stop in Supply and then headed on our way again. My Little Angel that was guiding me, gave me a wrong turn and we sort of back tracked a little bit. I think the Angel was trying to get extra miles.LOL We finally made it to Wing and Fish and everyone ordered. My food came and I bit into my Shrimp Burger and said hmmm the shrimp is undercooked, let me try another bite. It turned out to be oysters! YUCK! So I complained to the waitress while the boys ate the oysters. Dottie we have to talk soon.LOL I finally got some shrimp and we ate and went to the bikes. OH NO, Paul's bike won't start. Travis, Paul and I went to Advance Auto (or something similar) where he bought a new battery. Then we headed home. The moral of this story is: CRUISERS RULE! We all worked together today as a family and everything worked out just fine. Thanks to Preacher for tailing, Charles for being the mechanic in training 2, and of course, my little boy Travis who helped me not get lost. Rode 137 miles today.
